, IGEN Grant Provides Solar Workstations at RLC, Sunbolt

INA, Ill. (May 10, 2022) — New solar workstations are in place at Rend Lake College’s Ina campus. Thanks to a grant from the Illinois Green Economy Network, the workstations will play a part in RLC’s plan to increase sustainable energy sources where possible on its campuses.

Rend Lake College students gather around one of three solar work stations recently installed through an IGEN grant. The Illinois Green Economy Network is a consortium of all 39 Illinois community college districts, formed in 2008. IGEN's mission is to provide a platform for collaboration among all Illinois community colleges and their partners to drive growth of the green economy. The solar work stations provide wireless and wired charging for multiple devices, along with power outlets for other uses.
